Cancer clinical trials open in the region are currently limited by the ability to ship treatment drug to the community locations. Expansion of hematology and oncology clinical trials in regional community locations will occur with the regional pharmaceutical hub and personnel focused on growing the cancer clinical trials.
This project aims to find the best way to evaluate treatment options for elderly patients newly diagnosed with cancer. By better understanding patient’s needs and abilities, patients can be referred faster to additional resources and discuss the most appropriate treatment options with their cancer doctor. We therefore seek to improve patient care through a partnership created between Geriatrics and Oncology for this project.
