In September, Cleveland Clinic Florida caregivers joined together in the fight against cancer. More than 30 caregivers donated their time and funds to the inaugural Cleveland Clinic Florida for the Cure benefiting VeloSano event by walking or running a 1.5-mile loop at Tree Tops Park in Davie, Fl.
“Supporting VeloSano has brought us all together as a community in support of a great cause,” says Zeina Nahleh, MD, Regional Chair, Hematology-Oncology and Vice Chief, Cancer Institute. “We are all motivated by the same purpose — to support cancer research, save more lives and reduce the burden of cancer. Everything has a beginning, so we feel proud Cleveland Clinic Florida is now part of this incredibly special movement that started more than a decade ago in Cleveland, giving hope to so many.”
Three Florida teams were established, and caregivers are already looking forward to announcing plans for 2025 and beyond regarding Cleveland Clinic Florida for the Cure events and initiatives to support VeloSano.
